How effective is online counseling?
If your schedule leaves very little time, virtual therapy can get you the emotional care you need without spending extra time commuting to an office. Online therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy. However, it requires the same level of commitment in order to gain the same level of benefits. How does online counseling work?
My remote sessions are almost identical to in-person sessions. When you call or log into the virtual session, you’ll have the same support, attention, and confidentiality you would if you were in my office. I use a HIPAA compliant platform bound by local and federal laws. For sessions, I encourage you to find a room with closed doors to guarantee privacy and freedom to communicate your feelings.
Is it online therapy covered by insurance?
I’m not an in-network provider for any insurance companies. However, I provide my patients with a monthly receipt they can submit to their insurance provider for reimbursement. During our first session, we’ll take a few minutes to discuss your financial situation to set fees for subsequent sessions.
